Seems like a good deal if you happen to be in the market for what if offers, which my wife happened to be, so we took advantage. She had an existing membership so we had to call CS to get her upgraded and get the promos applied.

Interestingly, when I went to the webpage, there was a quick flash of another webpage; It appeared and left so fast that couldn't tell if it was an Audible one, but I would think that it would have had to have been. I'm thinking that if everyone doesn't get the offer, Audible must have targeted the offer to only certain peeps. If so, I'm curious as to what the criteria are/were for peeps to have gotten the offer.

The offer is a tempting one; but between the Great Courses' and Audible's, and a smattering of other companies' audiobooks that I have, I've got more than I could listen to for the rest of my life. That is no exaggeration!

The deal is tempting, even though I already have more Dots than rooms. And while $100 for 12 months is the best deal I can find today, I’ve had something like 30 credits for about $15 total in the last several years just from following this thread (and it’s earlier predecessors of course). Have those membership promos dried up? Perhaps. But I have a big enough backlog to wait it out.

Yeah, this is significantly higher per credit than we've averaged over the past few years, thanks to this forum.
But between the free Dot, which we happened to want*, and the fact that my wife has several books she wants being released shortly so having all the credits up front is of value, it worked out ok.
And those cheaper deals seem few and far between lately. 3 months at half price is the best I've been able to score recently.

It does seem like all those nice promos that allowed you to keep getting free trials have dried up. In fact, I don't recall there being any new ones since I got the yearly membership when it was $100 back on Prime day, I think it was. Being able to cut the price per credit to just over $8 for another year is irresistible.

I count they currently have 41 titles available for download. All the titles are DRM-free FLAC files, so they are good quality and you can convert them to whatever format you most prefer.

Me too - yesterday I clicked on a recipe site and it started asking me questions to help find exactly what I was looking for, e.g. recipes without sugar. It all seemed helpful until I answered the last question and then it wouldn't let me see the results unless I signed up!
