Most of my friends are in their mid to late 30s and read quite a bit. A couple of them read on their phones. They seem to like the idea of en ebook reader but the DRM thing pisses them off. Many of my friends are in the geekly professions so maybe that's a bit skewed.

I haven't actually noticed any Kindles in the wild but maybe that's because when I'm out and have a few moments to spare, I'm reading my Kindle. I know three people that have them (besides 38 year old me): my 36 year old husband, my 39 year old sister and one of my cousins who is in her 50s. So, yeah, 40ish sounds about right. I should probably add the disclaimer that I bought 2 out of 3 of those, though.

I didn't know there were any left in the wild. I thought they were all in captivity now.

Can the news helicopter chases be far behind?

(Voice of Fox reporter) "We're following the chase of a UPS truck allegedly carrying hostage Kindle 2s."

I am 27 and love my kindle...BUT it was a gift from my parents as a thank you for some help I gave them on some family stuff. And my mom bought it for me because a friend of hers had it, and loved the adjustable font sizes. My mom was all excited because while I don't like jewelry or makeup, I do love gadgets.
