No, actually, I'm high as a kite. Otherwise I couldn't be typing this much. No pain at all at the moment. However, I'm too whacked to stand up or walk anywhere, which is going to be a problem when I need to pee.

Yeah, the pain a few days after is, unfortunately, normal. The talking coherently while on drugs --- well, perhaps to be expected. Now if you start spouting large lovely diatribes like Marc creates, then we'll know they are REALLY good drugs!

Nah, not at all. I've started to wonder if it's like sports. While they call it "the zone", what I think it simply means is that you're better at it when you don't think about it but just do it. I'm at my most loquacious while in fugue rather than in deep thought ("deep thought" often brings on "self-indulgent" articulation). Basically, I'm just letting my head do whatever it does, and writing it down. Oddly (to me), this often/mostly seems to come around at its maximum during times of my more depressed moments - I definitely feel an infusion of mania and "zany" wordery while walking along the edge of the precipice, and it's often just before (or part of) the fall, or just after (or during) the climb out. Dead in the midst, the self-indulgence can often result in lengthy, staid articulation of "reasonable" opinion or explanation, sober as a judge (a non-alcoholic judge, who is really sober), or, otherwise, complete apathy and silence.

Of course, most people would not call the results of my fugue state "articulate"

but there's definitely a sense of "floatiness" involved.

I walked the dogs completely high today. I managed not to fall over ... a good thing.

I had just crawled back into bed when a neighbor called with a computer problem. I warned her that I was a bit out of it (a bit??), but that I'd come over and fix it.

Here's the amazing part ... I actually completed the entire repair and got it working again ... while ever so stoned.

I suppose I could probably work on drugs, but if I made a mistake and got my ass sued and it came out that I was gonzo'd at the time ... I'd be in soooo deep. Oh, so very deep.

My back and left hand are still giving me the most trouble, although some of the deeply bruised areas are quite painful ... but they don't hurt so much if I just move .... I cannot for the life of me find a really comfortable position to lie in for long. Naturally, the cats keep walking across the really bruised places. I think they find the swearing entertaining.

I just got caught up on Ricky's latest mishap. Holy cow!

I'm guessing the truck driver feels pretty bad (not physically, but emotionally). I'd be utterly miserable if I'd caused something like this.
