Kobo aura 1st Edition SD card ?

Hi ! For begining i'm sorry with my bad english this is not my native language

So, i buy a Kobo Aura first edition and i wan't to expand my memory with a 32gb memory card. She's on FAT32 and i don't know how to do for recognize with the e-reader..
With have to do something with the sd card before introduce in the e-reader ? I try to transfer some .cbr and .pdf file with "Calibre" and it's work if i transfer it in the primary memory, but didn't work on SD Card.
I don't know if the ebook recognize my SD card.

According to Wikipedia, the 2013 Kobo Aura should be compatible with SD cards up to 32GB.

Have you tried a different card? If multiple cards don't work then it could be a problem with the card slot on the reader itself, either some gunk in there preventing a proper connection, or a hardware fault.

So the CardReader work.

But when i place PDF or CBR inside it's not recognize by the ebook
I was thinking some things to do before the transfer, you know about that ?

The first item I would check is to go Settings => Device Information and see if the external card shows up there so you know that your Kobo is seeing the card. If it does, then connect to your computer and try creating a folder on the external uSD card--I use eLibrary-- and then copying your content inside that folder. After you do the safely eject, your Kobo should go into a processing content screen. If you don't see the processing content screen, it suggests that your Kobo is not seeing the external card. One item is to make sure your new folder does not have a . as the first character of the name -- that is the Unix/Linux convention for a hidden folder.

So we can see on "mémoire de stockage" (Memory) i have only 3.4gb available, don't see my memory card of 32gb

What format is the SD card formatted with? I would suggest downloading the SD Association's formatter available from SD Memory Card Formatter and reformat the card either in the Kobo or externally. You could check the current format and see if the card is formatted as FAT32 or exFAT -- see the attached properties display under Windows. The SD Association formatter will format as FAT32 which is what your Kobo is expecting.

Another possibility is power cycling your Kobo with the uSD card installed if it still is not seen after using the SD Association formatter though that was an issue more with the older Touch ereaders as far as I recall.

This is working !! I format my SD card with your software ! Maybe the windows formatter doesn't work like this software, anyway it's working now and i wan't to thank's you !!!

Memories of running into a similar issue where a 32GB uSD card was formatted as exFAT from the factory and had to be reformatted to FAT32. You can use the Windows formatter but have to select FAT32 as the format.
