The time is drawing nigh! The good folks over at Sync have announced the lineup for 2018 over at their website. Starting April 26 (a little earlier this year) we will get 2 titles every week for 13 weeks (and a little shorter this year). That's about 180 hours of free listening to make the summer go by. Personally (as with most years) the titles are a bit of a mixed bag for me but I usually end up finding some unexpected nuggets. There are 4 classics this year, so that is something most can get behind.

For those of you not familiar with Sync, it is a program supported by many of the audiobook publishers to promote the love of reading in young adults. The titles are available through Overdrive (be sure to update your software) as 64-bit DRM-free mp3 files and are yours to keep (unlike borrowed library books). The titles come out 2 per week and at the end of the week they go away (again, unless you have them downloaded). Our sock-shaped host will I am sure post the details of each title as they become free.

Thanks for posting this. I'll post a list of the titles soon. Looks like they had problems getting sponsors this year. Last year, they gave away 32 books and this year it'll only be 26 books. Still, the books are free and they can't be faulted for having a smaller selection this year.

Oh boy, not a very appealing list, except for The Scarlet Letter. Unfortunately, I just listened to another narration of that book a few weeks ago.
