catalog error

So I use Calibre with Stanza (a really old, outdated broken reader, which works for me )

I've never had a problem. Since the last update, while trying to get a book unto my Ipod, I get the following:

Catalog Error
Error reading catalog data. Please try again later.

I've always used the content server
Calibre Content server says 192.168.1.3:8080
My device says http://192.168.1.3:8080

Testing the server under preferences/sharing over the net
works, it opens up a list on my libraries in a web browser.
at 127.0.0.1:8080

My firewall, router, antivirus haven't changed. I am at a loss
I have Calibre 3.17.0 64 bit.

There weren't any changes to the content server in the last update, unless you mean you updated from an old calibre version. And without more detail on the error message, it's impossible to know what the problem is. You can look in the server logs to see if stanza is able to at least contact the server.

Unless you have disabled A/V updates [really, a very bad idea], some of these can change daily.

Your settings might stay the same...But the what x does with them, changes. Your ISP might push a security patch to your router (Mine did last week, and it died )

Also, are you trying a WiFi to WiFi connection? Be sure your choice is still permitted by your sys admin. eg. My laptop does not allow 'Peer' connections. I must use an 'Infrastructure' (access point/router). The A/P must allow connections between peers.
can you 'ping' your host IP from any other device on the LOCAL network?

Thanks guys, I figured it out. The new update and adding stanza after the port. How that changed I'll never know, but that did it.

GBM - Close I needed to add Stanza not mobile. You led me in the right direction!
