... or the Ash Wednesday titles? There was an article in the NY Times two days ago about the conflict between the two; does one go with sybaritic indulgence or penitential abstinence? The last time the two observences occurred on the same day was in 1945.

Romance is universal. It's a big cultural deal even in Egypt. http://www.arabnews.com/node/1246136/middle-east I'd suggest a good Zombie novel as an alternative, but I suspect Mr. Wolf would harrumph that as well! |

I only know three libraries in USA, and there's a lot of romance novels (specially when the new month comes), but it looks like there are another categories too. Anyway, statistics has its problems and lies,

OK, we'll get rid of Valentine's Day. I doubt the romance genre will go anywhere, though.

While we're getting rid of genres, can we PLEASE get rid of science fiction too?

Romance eBooks at Overdrive would not be such a bother if other genres were more evenly spread. Romance seems to be the main one. I'm not advocating we get rid of romance novel, but I would like more of other types of books. For Valentines Day, the increase in romance is the worst of the year.

I'm not asking for nobody to read romance. I'm asking for a more fair distribution of other genres at Overdrive.
