I finished Heaven's Queen by Rachel Bach. It was an okay ending to the trilogy. Now reading The Child Finder by Rene Denfeld. One of the many ebooks I got from Kobo sales.

Which was a very good detective story. Most enjoyable, so I'm pleased I have more to look forward to with this honest policeman.

Next up: The Cackle of Cthulhu edited by Alex Shvartsman. A collection of humorous stories about the Elder Gods.

Fun so far...

It does indeed. Your advice was good, even if it has meant I've bought three months of books to read in just one month.

Good! Have you watched the Italian TV adaptations of the series? They're shown from time to time on BBC 4, and are very faithful to the books. I always see Luca Zingaretti, who plays Montalbano in the TV series, in my head when I read the books

I quickly read Midnight Curse by Melissa F. Olson. I am trying to get into a couple non-fics, but what can I say--sometimes a little fantasy is just what I'm in the mood for.

Finished "Omega", By Jack McDevitt, the fourth book in the excellent "Academy" series, about a group of interstellar archaeologists exploring the remains left by dead extraterrestrial civilisations. In this book, the Academy has to try to save a civilisation, who are roughly at the technological level of the Roman Empire, from being wiped out by one of the mysterious "Omega Clouds" that we first met in the first book in the series, without violating the law which prohibits interference in other cultures. Absolutely excellent, like all the other books in the series so far. Highly recommended.

Finished "The Berserker Throne", by Fred Saberhagen. This is the final book in the extremely long Baen omnibus called "Berserker Man". I have to admit that I'm starting to find this series a little tedious. Nothing wrong with the plots, but I just don't like Saberhagen's writing style.
