At about 0130 this AM, my nook shut off while I was reading. I thought "uh-oh". It rebooted on its own with the message that my nook had been updated!
I now have version 48.3.20/4.8.3.12. And NO partitioning. I did not download the beta prior to this. The dictionary and chapter headings are still lighter. (Sorry Barry).

I've been right clicking and hitting Eject in windows explorer. I've probably done that 20 or 30 times and I've only had a problem twice. Both times everything was fine. One of those times I kept getting a pop-up dialog but hitting the home button fixed that.

The other times it's worked just fine.

Wow, was surprised this afternoon when mine updated! If they can do this, surely they can fix some of the other small things in a future update. Appreciate that they cared enough to do this most recent one. Thanks B&N!

Well that's the last beta I loaded.
I just did a "Check for System Update" and it said "No Update Available".

I'm at home right now, or I'd test it myself, but what happens to current sideloaded content when you update? Does it wipe out those books, or is it smart about moving them over to the main partition before resizing?
