Hello. Has anyone noticed stripes on screen that is not from ghosting? It dissapears when screen refreshes though.
Also did anyone try to tweak settings so input would be faster? In sketching apps you can only draw smooth lines very slowly as it recognises only a few movements per second (or it seems so). Tried to tweak settings with no sucess so far.

Hey there. Haven't noticed the lines so far. Any particular app in which this occurs so that I could try to replicate it?

The response time of touch input is slow anyways. It's just optimized to be a reader anyways. Devices like ReMarkable are optimized for sketching and stuff. But given the processor used on the device, I presume if the devs tweaked the GPU, they could make it smooth.

Last firmware update I tried to update via OTA but since it was rooted I couldn't. This time, with the update.zip method... it worked!!!

I just had to root it again.

Thanks for your help , fernsruben. Being able to download the firmware updates from their website (like from Onyx site) would be a great suggestion and would make updating the device way easier (specially if you have it rooted

)

I mentioned the same to the sales team. They did mention that they're still working on a proper brand website. So that might take some time. But they do have plans of making available public links once done. On the other hand, they do not want to release software builds like LineageOS or other ROMS, simply because it's an e-reader, and there are server maintenance costs along with most device users being non-tech-savvy.

I always use this one for my Onyx and Boyue (guess newer versions should work as weel)
I follow this manual

Then, you will probably have problems installing Supersu. Follow this guide.
Basically you install an older version of Supersu (I install 2.65), update de binary (normal option), update Supersu via Google Play and finally update the binary again (normal option)

Hey, apparently this is in the works, a 13 incher that is. But the flex aspect might be skipped for cost consideration, but there might be stylus features like the ReMarkable.

Yup. Should. DoctorOhh tried it and it worked flawlessly. Though ping him for how his usage experience has been. The Icarus Illumina XL HD *is* the Boyue LikeBook Plus, just rebranded. OEM company being Boyue.
