What i want to do now is: Uninstall everything (koreader, ksm) Do a factory reset start from scratch and maybe this time it will work. 2 questions - 1. How do i uninstall ksm and koreader? 2. if i do a factory reset will it safely wipe out everything without bricking the device? Thanks for the help. |

To uninstall Koreader: delete the folder koreader from .adds. To uninstall KSM: select "tools" > "ksm diverse.msh" > "delete KSM.sh" (this will delete the part of KSM that is located on the system partition and restart the device, which will boot into nickel); then delete the folder kbmenu_user from .adds. The Kobo software does support MOBI format. And it's listed on the specs page. It seems to do a reasonable job whenever I test it. It will also do TXT as long as it is less that 2MB in size. And the specs page also says it supports RTF, but I don't think I have ever tried one.

It appears that this is because the ar6000 driver uses wlan0 as the interface name rather than eth0. I also noticed that ksm is attempting to load the freescale wireless drivers rather than the ar6000 ones. I haven't attempted to fix this in ksm, but I was able to get wifi working with koreader by modifying the scripts to use wlan0 instead of eth0. I assume something similar would work in ksm. |

I gave them a try, but it still isn't working. I think at least part of the issue is that the detection code in scriptmenuwifi.sh isn't looking for ar6000.ko and depends on two modules being loaded, but for ar6000, sdio_wifi_pwr.ko isn't used.

I think the script from yesterday was trying to load ar6000.ko. "ar6000" is expected to be the value of WIFI_MODULE in the case of the PLATFORM being "freescale". I did however not understand that sdio_wifi_pwr.ko must not be loaded. So here is my next try. |
