Not at my library yet, but there'll probably be a long waiting list if it does turn up. It is among the books patrons can recommend that the library purchase but ain't no way I'm gonna suggest they spend money on that when there are so many other works more worthy of acquisition.

I didn't even know what this book was until I read this thread. I find it interesting that the author doesn't even know whether what he wrote is true or not ...

The author of the explosive new book about Donald Trump's presidency admitted that he isn't certain that it's all true.

Michael Wolff, the author of "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House," included a note at the start which casts significant doubt on the reliability of the specifics contained in the rest of its pages.

A number of his sources, he says, were definitely lying to him, while some offered accounts that flatly contradict those of others.

But they were nonetheless included in the vivid account of the West Wing's workings, in a process Wolff describes as "allowing the reader to judge" whether they are true.

If it can't be verified then it's just rumors and/or gossip. I guess that's fine, but it's hard to call a book "explosive" when it could be a work of fiction.

I had heard news stories about this book and Trump's reaction to it but had not heard the actual name of the book, so when I saw this thread title I had no idea what it was about.

I don't read books like this from people of either political party.

My library says there are 10 people waiting per copy of the ebook and 31 per copy of the audiobook.

No, what the author has said is that people he interviewed have sometimes offered conflicting accounts of the same event/meeting.

I've yet to see anyone claim to have been misquoted, which I find interesting. I have seen a couple of people verify the author's accounts.

But I haven't yet read the book, so I am reserving judgment.

The author said "in the book - at least on the jacket" that he knew some people were lying and that a lot of people's comments were in conflict with each other. He also said on line or in interviews that he would lie if necessary to get comments.

Live in such a way that if someone spoke badly of you, no one would believe it.
