15 F with a wind chill of 5, wind chill warning until noon tomorrow with -10 forecast for over night.

I spent 2 winters, 1977 and 1978 in Marquette Michigan, wind chill temps of -30 and lower were the norm, house trailers are not designed for that, let me tell you. Burrrrrr.

I've never regretted the not quite 2 years we spent up there, it was a great way to start our marriage. We were ridiculously young, 18 and 21. Trailer parks were the norm, most of the population in ours were in the Air Force and were not long term residents, although there were some who were.

When folks here complain about winter, it cracks me up. Winter up there lasted from late October to April. We only get spurts of winter here. We had 200 inches of snow the winter of 1978-79, the average is 150 or so.

We get maybe 40" here.

I don't regret 1989 either.
Here we might get 6" except in a rare year.

High temperature for the day was 12ºF under cloudy but bright skies. It's 6º now.

It's not supposed to get any warmer for the next week or two, but we may get some better sun.

It looks like an okay day today. Some clouds, some sun this morning. In the late afternoon it'll start raining until tomorrow morning, with a lot of rain during the night with possible thunderstorms. During the night it'll also become very windy, possibly a storm along the coast. Tomorrow, between 3am and 8pm the weather service has declared a code yellow.

It's -10F, but supposed to warm up to 12F when the snow arrives late this afternoon. No complaints, but this is the first year the neuropathy in my feet were affected by cold. Poo. I'm gonna need larger boots for thicker socks!
