Is there anyway to turn off Sleep mode ?

Hi Guys,

I'm new to e-book readers .. and I just bought Kindle Oasis couple months ago.
I really like how it's good for my eyes. but the problem is how amazon didn't put important setting as editing Sleep mode time, it's just make me annoying.
I use my kindle to study heavy subjects, and 10 mins it's not enough for me.

I tried to jailbreak my kindle (Kindle Oasis - KOA - FW 5.8.1 ). but the links in this thread : https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=275877
doesn't work. by the way I'm new to these stuff

. Could you give me any advise to solve this problem ? .. and yeah I'm not subscribe to special offer

Search for "~ds" without the ". It will temporary disable sleep mode. To put it back to sleep, you have to restart. Long press on power button until the option to restart shows up or go through settings to restart.

Can you provide a link as ~ds does not work in a search?

You need to do the search from the searchbar on your Kindle.

No, it only disables the sleep function. There is another discussion going on about what happens when you disable the sleep, and then disable the touch screen on an Oasis 2 from the settings menu. I believe there is also a way to disable on the Voyage and Oasis 1 if jailbroken, but I've never done that.

"Disable touchscreen" is a new feature with FW 5.9.2.0.1 that normally only works on Oasis 2 while reading a book. I use it all the time so I can hold the screen itself while reading. ~ds to disable the screensaver works with other models and earlier FW and not only from inside a book.

Interesting. I was wondering why the Voyage and Oasis 1 did not get it.

It works ! and doesn't disable the touchscreen . I'm so grateful to you for all your help guys.
