Voilà, it's all in the title.

It doesn't do much good, but it's pretty. ![]() Seen as caliber manages the folders that it uses for the librarys, I don't think that evening a difficult feature added. In attachment files the .ICO and the desktop.ini I use for my librarys. ![]() In any case, a big thank you to the caliber developers ![]() Is a powerful software that I use every day ![]() On those, Chalut o/ Last edited by un_pogaz; 12-20-2017 at 05:23 AM. |

I'm somewhat reluctant to do this, as it is windows specific. And then it would require adding exclusion rules for those files in the various library check/export/etc. tools.

Small problem: when I open the zip file it seems to contain only an empty folder. I can save the forum image as a 128x128 .png but Windows folders seem to need .ico files in a variety of sizes. |

When I copy the folder from the zip file to a Windows desktop, it shows the icon. I also see an .ico file inside the folder on my desktop (show hidden files enabled).

FWIW - the Library check will flag the desktop.ini file as an invalid author, the ico file too if its copied into each calibre library directory.

Aside : I have never been able to get the Library check ignore extension feature to work (on Vista, Win7 or 10), with or without a preceding dot, nor the file name ignore, viz: Has anyone else. BR

Because foreign files in book folders show up as additional formats, which I find not only acceptable but desirable, I've only ever considered putting them in the library and author folders. And because my normal use if library check is via calibredb within a script, and there's no mention of book folders only in its doco, it never occurred to me the scope might be limited to books rather than the entire library.
