I have a good reason for having both a Kindle and a phone. One is for reading on the go and the other things you can do with a phone. I forget just what they are. And the Kindle is my preferred reading device.

So, feeling well justified I still have to admit that all my excuses for my other reading devices amount to excuses. I have other Kindles, Kobos and a Nook and very good excuses for each of them. I have them because I want them. What better excuse can there be!

Actually there's a bit more to it but only a bit. I'm 77 years old now, living entirely on social security and even though I'm fine at present the possibility of a nursing home looms and those places will take all my income and give me enough allowance to buy underwear and that's about it. So I like being prepared. If and when that happens, just in case my immortality begins to waver, at least I'll have plenty to read and plenty to read it on.

Another excuse? Probably. Who cares! It's my money. I save up and when I have enough, it takes a while, I get something.

I keep telling myself it's because they don't make Sonys anymore and, to me, they are the bestest ereaders out there. I got the Kobo mini because it's so cute and little and it was cheap. Umm, most of my ereaders were cheap actually. The Paperwhite I won in a contest and who says no to a free ereader?

I have 3 Kobo Aura H2Os at home right now, because I bought 2 to give away as Christmas gifts this year. In the past I've always given away my old reader when I got a new one (though I could certainly see myself having a couple if they were different enough--a big one for home and a smaller one for the road, or something). I'd rather have them being used than sitting idle.

I don't use a hair dryer.
Two reasons, the wind and the noise. I have to live with it but I don't like fans of any sort. To me, they just distort the air.
Even the Dyson supposedly bladeless fans.

I have two: a Kobo Touch and a Glo. The reason is the Touch came first and when I got into it more seriously I found the need of a back-light and swapped to Glo. Now the Touch lays unused and was taken up by my girlfriend.

My Onyx is filled with technical pdfs.

My travel one is filled with fiction.

My tablet is filled with comics.

I just ordered another one! A Nook Glowlight 3. It'll be here Friday.

I usually just keep a few books on my devices, my current one and a bunch that I might possibly read soon. But I bought this with the idea of, assuming I can get the new firmware installed, putting a whole bunch of books on it. I have no idea how well it will do with a few hundred books; maybe a thousand, but I plan to find out. And then maybe I'll find out why I put so many books on it. This is going to be new to me.
