I knew what you meant. It just so happens our headboard is a wall banger even without the sex. We had a canopy bed. When we changed to a water bed frame, we left the headboard to keep pillows from going out the window. So hence, if you bump it, it bangs the wall.
Never mind I really need to move both the head board and the bed and vacuum the rest of the glass off the floor. (There is no window at the moment. ) It got busted out when Mother Nature decided to play softball, baseball, golf and marbles one evening using ice.

Definition #3 is what the romance genre uses. There's actually a book called Wallbanger it was originally a twlight fanfic that later got published. It's by Alice..... somebody. It fits this definition.

I don't think that dictionary is reliable. Vodka and orange juice make a screwdriver. You have to add Galliano to make a Harvey Wallbanger.

Hmmm.... I've seen wallbanger as a short form of Harvey Wallbanger, as a reference to the treatment deserved by a book that fails badly (see Patricia Rice's item here:Wallbangers as an example) and as a baseball term for a long ball that bounces off the wall (the wall-banger traveled 390 feet when it needed 392 feet to be a home run).

I have never seen it used the way Jon suggested other than in the drinks Sex Up Against The Wall and Long Slow Comfortable Screw Against the Wall. Hmmm.... then there is the Screaming Orgasm though with 1 ounce each of vodka, Amaretto, Kahlua and Amarula Cream Liquor, after a couple of those I would suspect that William Shakespeare had it right -- "it provokes the desire, but it takes away the performance" The Tragedy of Macbeth, Act II, scene III.

But thanks to this forum and the Urban Dictionary, my useless knowledge collection has been expanded. I never knew those customers holding the wall up could be called wall bangers (no cell phones though in that day and age). Not all that fond memories from working as a part-time bartender for a short time in my distant youth -- "don't serve them the good stuff after their second drink, they'll never know the difference" being one of the major life lessons.
