I have my own wonders and surprises to deal with the claims of the Grand Mouse regarding his term as a winner about to start, whereas the established historical facts clearly oppose the situation. Our esteemed friend has already set up a record of previous wins, which, in my humble opinion is very difficult, if not impossible to be achieved by any other member in the present context. Therefore I surmise and rather strongly believe that it is nearly hightime for him to kindly and respectfully take a retirement from his current duties and handover the courageous mission to new aspirants.

Taking cognizance of the fact that the Grand Mouse is well aware of the five stage techniques of serving the right cause cautiously and competently I can only express myself humbly enough that My lips are sealed! It is purely in your jurisdiction as to what type of silence would you prefer to accept from me out of these ‘Three Varieties of Civil Service Silence’:

1. Discreet Silence.
2. Stubborn Silence.
3. Courageous Silence.

I'm taking a silent win for now.

I thank the honourable member of MobileRead for his acknowledgement of my previous achievements in pursuit of the victory that will, undoubtedly, be undisputedly mine in the fullness of time.

However, it is with regret that I inform him that thoughts of retirement from this thread have never been further from my mind, and that my past record in this thread, open as it is to any interested party, reveals my tenacity and determination.

I therefore accept his silence as being of the "acknowledgement of another's ascendancy" variety, and take this addition opportunity, granted by the noble Potato, to declare my achievement to all.

Dear Honourable Grand Mouse,

If I am pressed for a straight answer regarding furthering my silence on this grand thread, I shall say that, as far as we can see, looking at it by and large, taking one thing with another, in terms of the average of wins taken by me so far and my pursuing attitude for, then it is probably true to say that, at the end of the day, you would find, in general terms that, not to put too fine a point on it, there really was not very much in it one way or the other. I can add, no doubt for further clarification, as far as one can see, at this stage, I am sorry to say, but sometimes one is forced to consider the possibility in a way which, all things being considered, and making all possible allowances, is, not to put too fine a point on on it, perhaps not entirely straightforward. Therefore my silence should always be considered as my another serious and sincere attempt to reassure my constant winning status.

I must admit that I am not a little moved by my fellow creatures' concern about my hearing. I can assure you that it is perfectly well. Unfortunately, putting at ease your concerns about my health forces me to be a little clearer in my communication than I had - out of sheer philcreatury - intended to: The constant babbling here is grating on my nerves, and I am afraid if it goes on and my esteemed fellow creatures don't shut their pie holes (or at least stop the the endless droning), I will be forced to roast you all and have you for breakfast or whatever meal is appropriate to the time of day.
