Thank you! It's been a crazy day.

Friday hubby woke up in intense pain. He couldn't sit, he couldn't lay, he couldn't eat, and he couldn't keep anything down. He was miserable. He literally walked this 400sq foot apartment for 13 hours. After googling when he finally could talk to me we figured out it must be a kidney stone. It had all the classic symptoms. This process repeated itself over and over till yesterday late at night he started feeling better without the pain medication. We had found taking Motrin helped him be able to lay and sleep and sit some but he would pace the floors mostly. The pain started in his right back flank then a day later move to the right side and down. It's been hell yes I'm saying it because hockey sticks can't describe what we went through. Fast forward till this morning he was doing better suddenly. The pain was now in the bladder area and he had urges. He was able to go out and do a little shopping so we could eat on my birthday thanks to my mom sending a little money.

Fast forward to around five o'clock I hear sirens and think to myself that they are really close by. The next thing I know I hear a walkie talkie outside in my parking lot. I run to the window and there's an emergency response vehicle outside and here comes the ambulance. I watch them enter the downstairs apartment. So hubby and I are freaking out, watching hoping she is okay. I'm like why in my birthday is this happening. We wait and hope not knowing what it going on. They got the gurney out and out walks my neighbor. The nice one, she was able to walk and get on and was talking but she was fanning herself and it's not hot today. So a fever or maybe heart issues? So then after all that excitement hubby goes to the bathroom right after and ouch, there is blood and specs. Now I'm really concerned even though I read this can happen and it means either two things. One is normal with stones and the other is a complication. So I have him drink an ocean of water to keep flushing and the next visit to the loo out came the stone! We were both relieved, no pun intended. His digestive system kicked in not long after that and started processing everything from Thanksgiving and onward. This is a birthday I'll never forget. He seems to be back to normal and hungry. I thought gout was bad but this.... it's like nothing I want to go through again.

Today was nice and boring. Hubby and I prefer it that way. I nearly fell asleep reading.

Glad to hear you had a most boring day.

I am up way too early. If we are lucky hubby will get off in about 15 hours. He left for work about half an hour ago.

Compiling an epub of 52 short stories to make my goal of 1 per week more attainable next year. It should remove my analysis paralysis by having the story for the week set for me.

It's been a busy Monday today. This morning I got my hair cut. For the first time in forever I got my hair cut by a man, he did it well and without having to talk all the while.

This afternoon I spend on the Christmas cards. Last month I had this brilliant idea that I would do something each day. I divided the making of the cards in tasks and each day I wanted to tick something off of the list. Which of course didn't happen after the first three days. So I spend the afternoon, and an hour tonight, cutting, stamping, die cutting and gluing. The only thing that needs to be done is stick 28 bows on the cards. But it's a very tiny die cut, and I want more (day) light to do it properly.

After I've finished making the Christmas cards I've planned to make a paper Christmas house for the shop window. For which I still need to buy the cut file and some paper. Plus, I want to cut some paper baubles for the little tree we have in the store.

I suspect that in two weeks time I'm fed up of Christmas.

Decorating the house for Christmas while my wife is at work. We haven't had a tree in almost ten years, so I am hoping for a nice surprise for her when she gets home!

That will work too. I'd have cookies waiting and hot cocoa or wine and chocolates. I could do either for Christmas.
