inkBook Prime problem executing Nook app

I recently purchased an inkBook Prime eReader anticipating being able to load the Kindle and Nook applications and reading all of my books from the two services on one reader. The Kindle app loaded and executed very well but I have problems with Nook. I downloaded the app from Google Play, loaded it nicely and it sync'd all my books (about 380) into the device. But when I attempt to "open" the book, I get an error message "Unfortunately, Nook has stopped"

Anyone else have this problem and, if so, can you provide any advice?
