You have to create an account (and manage your subscription content) on inoreader.com. The reabble.com site merely reformats your inoreader content to work on an eink device.

Not sure if this page still applies but it does mention cover issues with Nooks. See Setting a cover image on an epub ebook for more information.

Plus, if there are other graphics, the size is not that small. Add in embedded fonts and the size goes up. So really, you cannot say X amount of eBooks fit in 1GB with such a high number. You may get a decent amount and you may not. It's a crap shoot.
The problem is that it is just as easy to select 3000 ebooks that would fit into 1GB so there is no "proving" either way. I have quite a few larger books that would not allow me even having 10 on 1GB but I also have a mass of smaller ebooks (novellas, fanfic, etc.) that are less than 200K so in theory, I could fit 4000+ ebooks into 1GB.

Instead of a crapshoot, I think of this quote from Terry Pratchett:

“God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players [i.e. everybody], to being involved in an obscure and complex variant of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.

In order to fit 3,000 eBooks in 1GB (is it 1024x1024 or is it 1,000,000)? you would need an average of 349.5 bytes for all the eBooks and if 1GB = 1,000,000 then the average would be 333.33 bytes. Not gonna happen in either case.

300 kilobytes, not 300 bytes per book, a thousand times more, but still on the small side for current books.

I agree with their general reputation as a pretty much useless site. but it happens that the one time they provided information in a review that was useful to me was regarding some device and PDFs. They covered some points that I was interested in that no one else did.

I know people like to use their e-ink devices for PDFs (though the why of it is a mystery to me). It's just the first thing I think of when I think of their reviews. Well, that and the music and their poorly worded reviews that at least seem like they weren't written out before hand.

To their credit, they review a lot of devices. For some of the obscure ones, their review is likely the only English one you will find. Just keep the salt shaker handy. You're going to need a few grains.

Of their four "negatives" the only one that concerns me is the 1 GB side-load partition. But I think I can live with it. Now the cheapskate in me is just waiting for a sale.

I haven't watched the review, but from what else I've seen, touch screen page turns are fast. It's button page turns that are laggy in comparison.

Looks good. I'll probably wait for the Fintie. I've had good luck with their cases. With the buttons I'm guessing they'll have to have raised corners.

Okay. To be fair, the one they had on display at B&N had a nearly dead battery. They couldn't figure out to get the charger working. So that may have had something to do with it. And I did use the buttons, not the screen. (Odd that it would make a difference.)

They will if they're smart!

I will say, all this talk of the Glowlight 3 coupled with my disappointment in sideloading does have me looking at the Glowlight Plus. I'll likely buy a 3 as a gift. But I'm considering a new device for myself.
