I think the GPS they are offering at Kohls is the same as the one at Best Buy. But at Kohls it's considered a doorbuster.

I've never had much luck obtaining doorbuster items. Not sure how many Kohl's will have available.

This item should be available online at Kohl's starting at 12:01 AM CT on Thu 23 Nov.

It looks like Kohl's is selling the 2016 model (50LM) and Best Buy is selling the 2017 model (51LM). No idea how they differ, but Kohl's will give you $15 in Kohl's cash for every $50 spent. So that will make it $15 cheaper than Best Buy. A great deal if you shop at Kohl's on a regular basis. Also, some credit cards are offering 5% back this quarter at Kohl's and other department stores.

They are. Most of the items in these ads are available online, though quantities are limited just like they are at the stores. Just keep in mind that instead of competing with 100+ people standing in line at a store, you're competing with thousands, if not tens of thousands, of people across the country sitting in front of their computers waiting for the clock to go tick tock.

Sometimes online doorbusters sell out in a matter of seconds or a few hours. So it pays to stay up until midnight to get something you really want. Waiting until you wake up in the morning will have you reaching for that bottle of Jack Daniel's instead of that cup of coffee when you realize that your precious item is already sold out.

So ... anyone have an opinion on whether the 10-inch Fire Tablet ($100) is worth double the price of the 8-inch ($50)? I see the specs are better, and there's more storage and a better warranty. I'd be moving up from the 7-inch, and I'd be using it mostly for reading, Web browsing, and simple games. I'm concerned about the 10-inch being too heavy and cumbersome.

I think 10" is too big for reading, while 8" is plenty big enough for web browsing. I'd save the $50.

Is there a Best Buy near you? Mine has the new 10" on display; you could check it out.

Seriously, thanks--I didn't think about being able to see them in person. Best Buy and Target are a little out of my way, but my local Staples has both, and I need to go there anyway this week.
