That may well be.

However, my main interest in Onyx has been the Max line of devices. And because I have been pleased with my Max, I am now considering a Note. Hence, I have primarily confined myself to Onyx threads which deal with these devices.

Consequently, don't believe I ever looked at the M92 thread. Certainly never contributed to it. Others may well be in the same boat. So what might be old hat to you mightn't be to someone else.

Very pleased to hear about the Note. To be honest I have found my 8" i86 quite sufficient to read academic papers. The device is portable and the Navigation software means that you can get a decent view.

Only issue is that making notes on the pdfs seems to be impossible. I haven't even found a stylus that will work on the device. Further, the device is slow.

If the Note does not have an SD card slot, that would however present a problem.

Bluetooth won't power the attached device thus is consumes less power from the eBook Reader. Bluetooth is actually pretty efficient.

It will be almost the same. And you won't have a product warranty and/or would have to send it to China.

There is a short video on TaoBao website too. It shows the same time lag we saw at the conference event.

If the time lag will be the same in the units that are delivered then I am very dissapointed. We have been waiting years now for Max 2 and it seems that it is much slower than Dasung Pro... I hope I am wrong and all those videos feature prototypes

You must be wrong. Dasung accelerate the speed by reducing the pixel shades. Here Max2 keep 16 shades for each pixel. No magic for Carta screen. We don't use it to play game, right?

With such time lag it's not good even for writing...

What is the point of having 16 grayscales if everything lags so much.I cannot imagine using a mouse cursor with such time lag...
