I'm sorry for my bad English.
Your English is fully understandable! You can't see in your screenshot, but I'm willing to bet the buttons are on the right-hand side, yes? This makes sense that all Kindle Oasis 2017 are going to display this whiter screen on the button-side of the device.

Your Kindle looks like mine, and my friend's, sadly. They're all going to be like this.

Thanks

Edit: Seems like this topic has been discussed in this thread, would be nice to maybe have a separate thread for screenshots as Id like to see them all myself. Thanks anyway!
Yep, it's an issue with the 2017.

In fact, I'm so certain it's an issue with every Kindle that I'd bet from any photo of any Kindle Oasis 2017, I can tell which side of the screen the buttons are on, even with the buttons not visible in the photo.

Maybe the Oasis 2018 will fix this, finally. There's no question Amazon's lighting system has improved over the years. They just need to really double down and perfect it, now.

I know Harry, but I've been out today comparing with my 3g kindle keyboard, different software lighting etc., and at the moment the Oasis uses more Juice, I'm sure after a few charges it will be fine,

Sure, you'd expect it to use more power than a Kindle Keyboard, because of the light!

Yes, the whiter side are the buttons (right). The problem is that reading in the dark causes visual fatigue. It's a shame, I like this kindle very much.

Here's my 32GB 3G display. As I said previously, I'm happy with it. It's almost perfect.

edit: Removed.

Bare in mind, it's very difficult to take an accurate photo of how a display looks to the naked eye. I've had to tweak colour balance a lot (my monitor is calibrated), even with tweaking.. it's still not 100% but it confirms what I say. Slightly brighter to the right handside, ever so slightly.

I have a second Oasis coming on Monday, so shall see how that one fairs in the exact same shot.

Erm... that's flat-out pink. My 5K iMac is professionally calibrated (by me!), and that's not how any Kindle Oasis looks.

Even so, the issues that plague my Kindle Oasis 2017 plague yours, too. With correct color balancing, it would be even more obvious (bottom right versus top left etc).

Now, I know some people will chime in that this looks just great, - but to me it does not. The disparity in brightness uniformity is just so obvious.

It's been a while since I calibrated to be fair, plus I think something is up with my profiles. I'll redo the shot over the weekend.

There is a slight pinkish to the hue, I'd prefer it to be warmer than cooler though. The thing is though, it is not noticeable to me in normal use.

My poorly calibrated monitor and photo aside; I fear you are looking for perfection on a device which has long been known not to have the perfectly lit screen. This edition is the best I've seen after going through multiple returns of PW's and Voyages in the past.

I would not be surprised if my second Oasis has a worse screen than the one I'm holding in my hand.

Bolded the important part. Absolutely this is the truth. But it's not good enough for me. I'm seriously driven mad by how it gets brighter toward the bottom (right-button orientation). It does my head in.

I totally get what you are saying. I'm also pretty fussy but have learnt over the years to accept that this type of lighting technology they've not got 100%, it's hard to swallow and it's frustrating.

What is clear though is that having additional LEDs helps the uneven light distribution problem by quite a bit. Next model more LEDs that are colour temperature adjustable? Can only hope.

For now though, I can feel somewhat at peace, in that whilst reading my mind is not being constantly distracted by massive dark areas, light cones or patches of different colour.

My new Oasis came today and I absolutely love it! I was afraid that the larger screen would be a lot bigger and heavier than the Voyage, but as I am holding it now, it feels perfect in my hand. The bezel is much more comfortable to hold than the Voyage despite the latter being thinner. I also like the aluminum back vs the back of the Voyage. I was afraid to hold the Voyage because of the light scratches I'd make on the back. The screen is nice evenly lit and the letters are crisp compare to the Voyage. I'm also loving the new Inverted Black and White option as well and think that I will use it more now. Overall, my Kindle experiences have been very positive, from the Paperwhite to Voyage, and now to the Oasis, it just keep getting better!

Just chatted with a very nice Amazon customer representative who was happy to remove the special offers from my Oasis and waived the charges. I told him that I'd paid for it on the Voyage and asked if he could apply it for the Oasis, which he did. I can't be happier with my new device!
