Table of contents and index
Hello,
With Calibre editor, it is possible to create and edit a table of content. Is there a way to create an index too? May be with another html editor ? Thanks |

The Sigil epub editor has an Indexing toolkit - also in its Tools Menu, I don't think calibre's ebook-editor has such a thing. BR |

Thanks but may be my question wasn't clear.
I was not speaking of a table of contents, which I already have, but of an index (in addition to the TOC), which is different Last edited by Frenchguy; 11-01-2017 at 04:11 PM. |

Your index is an inline Table of Contents that becomes part of the text of the book?
If so, (I repeat) you can see in the Calibre manual: Inserting an inline Table of Contents. |

As BetterRed mentioned, Sigil is able to generate an index. calibre can't do it itself.
Alternatively, if your source file is a Word document, you can use Word for creating the index and then import the word file in the editor. |
