Well now I want to see this, but still, neither my nexus nor my phone shows any new updates.

They were little squares now they are not. They blend in with other books. I never clicked on them before because they were at the bottom now they are near the top and I'm easily confused by it. I don't know what books I own it or don't. It's been forever since I went through them. I have to be extra careful now especially with floating chat heads popping up at the same time.

It's quite simple: you own the books that DON'T have a "Buy Now" button after clicking on them (also, you don't own anything not in the "My Library" section).

Sorry, but I have no idea what a "floating chat head" is. Nor do I think I'd want any.

Here you go some screens. As you can see the buy button is now where your thumb goes. This makes accidental purchases problematic if accidental click on a book you don't own.

The app stalled out twice on me when I first opened it!

I dunno... I think the last version I had on my Nexus 7 seemed speedier in opening the app and in opening books.

I'd love to be able to personalize the Home screen and turn off the "more like" feature.

Do a complete uninstall and reinstall. It should be fast. I have no slow downs.

But surely it also makes ANY book you're thinking about buying just as easy to accidentally purchase then, no? My point is that just like with any kindlebook purchase, there's a minimum of two taps involved to purchase. An accidental purchase is still going to require unintentionally clicking the wrong book in the first place, and then unintentionally clicking the Buy button on that wrong book. That all adds up to a fairly unlikely series of unintentional events, in my book. But I'll let it go. I hope you're eventually able to get used to the new interface.

I don't have the new update yet and I have the more like already, so it won't be any different for me than before. That buy screen looks the same to me as even on my kindles when I go to the store. So also the same. Not sure why my thumb would be anywhere I don't put it though. .

But then I don't operate my phone with one hand, I am a hold in one hand, use index of other hand user. I can't operate a touch screen any other way. My thumb is the least likely of my digits to register touches and all my fingers are somewhat touch challenged. I think they are dry, not sure. In any case, I think I'll like the new look as its similar to what my kindles already look like and the app I currently have on my android.

As to the want to read shelf from goodreads, when they implemented the home view on the kindles, which can display the want to read stuff from the shelf, I moved everything I didn't own out of there and created a shelf called maybe to read. I put things I already own and want to read in the near future in the want-to-read shelf. Makes this integration work much better, since they don't let us pick our own shelf for that purpose.

Of course I am still waiting on this update.........

I'm the opposite. My fingers are super touch sensitive.

I'm the girl who can't touch hardly anything without getting shocked. Water even shocks me. The other day I was walking and the air shocked my fingers. I can only think there must have been a dust particle I came into contact. You think I'd be use to it now.

My Nexus touchscreen sometimes stops responding or gets choppy but putting it to sleep then reawakening it fixes it.

I too use both hands I hold it with my right hand like a book and use my left index finger to touch things. However sometimes my thumb will wreck havoc on the screen. It can't be helped there's no space for it. I need a bigger bezel.

And you quoted some old nonsense about 1-Click settings not being able to be set on a per device basis -- which was incorrect. I've already admitted my mistake. It'd be cool if you could do the same. I won't hold my breath, though.

Still trying to get the latest version on my Moto G (Android 5.1) - reinstall didn’t work. If it fails to show up later I’ll probably install Amazon Appstore and try from there - says my device is compatible.
