Yeah, I can't see the new update on my Nexus either, or my android phone for that matter. I had no idea that there are different google stores for people, I guess I always figured everyone sees them in the store, or "my apps" the same way. But I don't really know enough about the google store. Just how to use my phone

I guess it'll get here when it gets here.

I got it. I had to use my phone to backup to apk then transfer to Nexus to get it but it's on a different account so it showed the update. apkpure doesn't have it yet.

So far it's at 1GB. I don't think the issue is fixed.

It's definitely faster no more slow five minutes book opening. It looks exactly like Google Play Books. The reader itself nothing new I noticed. No more time left to read.
There is one new font. Ember Bold.

I'm happy with the update because the sluggishness is gone. I still can't use it on my phone because of my large library. Oh well.

It's actually bigger now. 2.23GB total.

On iOS, just pull down in the App Store Update tab, update will show up then (at least it did for me)...
(seems like a new feature in iOS 11, manual update screen refresh)

Obviously there was something wrong with 6.0 because today I just updated to 6.0.1. And yes, I am running iOS 11.

I agree, something wrong with 6.0 seems the most likely explanation for why it would only install for some users.

It's too easy to buy a book now. It shows your "to be read" shelf from Goodreads.

Smart marketing move. Imagine if they added your Amazon wishlist books too. I can see alot of impulsive buys in Kindle users future.

I hope there's a way to make it so you cannot just tap buy and buy something. It needs to be made more difficult.

Turn off one-click purchasing for that device. But there's another level of "click" involved, anyway. Just clicking on a title in your Goodreads wishlist category from the Kindle app's home page won't buy the book. You have to take the next step and click the "Buy this book" button.

Usually the Kindle app for Fire OS is updated a shortly after each Kindle for Android release. The Kindle app has a consistent appearance with other parts of Fire OS and the new version does not fit in visually. I wonder whether Fire OS will get a makeover to match the appearance of the new app.

(And isn't a new version of Fire OS, based on a more recent Android release, supposed to be in the works?)

From your main Amazon account page, there should be a link for your 1-Click Settings. From there, there should be links to disable/enable everywhere, or options to do so on a per-device basis.

You should be able to do it from the Kindle app's settings for that device as well.

It's nice... it your "to be read" is a wish list. If you include in "to be read" only books you have.... This is the Red Ugly Button from goodreads and their misconception of TBR = TBB (To Be Read = To Be Bought)

If I don't remember wrong, you cannot disable One-Click for ebooks
