There seems to be some issue - update is not getting flagged even though version in App Store is newer (both iPad and iPhone).

The iOS Kindle app was last updated 3 days ago. This new version is not yet released.

This is not true. 5.15.2 was released two weeks ago. 6.0 was released today. I have it on both my iPhone and iPad.

Kindle for PC 1.21 and kindle for android 8.0 were also released today and I have them both also.

My Kindle app was updated 3 days ago and the version I have is 5.12.2 so no, it was not released 3 weeks ago.

The app store is not telling me that there is an update which would confirm that the current version is still 5.12.2 as has been reported in this thread.

I'm in the Amazon Kindle forum and I usually read on one of my Kindle's. iOS doesn't interest me since i own nothing belonging to Apple.

I read on my phone perhaps once or twice a month when I get stranded without a Kindle. That's not much but it's worth having the Kindle app.

I downloaded the Kindle App to my Android phone, Google Pixel, and it's quite different and so far I like it better. It's much faster loading and navigating is snappier. Certainly worth the change. It is still the largest app I have at 760mb.

Are you on the latest iOS? Perhaps it is only currently available for iOS 11.

I got the updated app earlier today when I saw the note about it on my amazon home page. Clicked and went to Apple App Store. Installed and saw no change in the app. Then I saw post #13 in this thread. Delete app and reinstall worked for me too. Liked the old version better — oh,well

The App Store is showing that it was released 12 hrs ago.

Performance seems a lot better on my Nexus 7 (2013), too. The previous versions were always sluggish.

I'm seeing Goodreads recommendations from my linked Goodreads account. Is that the extent of the Goodreads integration for the latest Android Kindle app?

I finally gave up waiting for Apple or Amazon to fix the ‘not updating’ issue, and reinstalled the app on my iPad (created a collection ‘onmyipad’ so I could download everything again with one action). I’d say the Library screen is better organized but reading mode is identical as far as I can tell. Goodreads is more integrated but not annoyingly so.

They did fix one issue which I’ve complained to them about before: it used to be it took 3 taps to get back to Library, now it is 2, same as Fire/Android/Kindle. Whoopie.

Think I’m going to wait some more to see if update issue gets fixed rather than deleting and reinstalling - have a ton of audiobooks that would need to be laboriously downloaded.

Still looking for Split View support on iPad. We ever gonna get Word Runner?

I still don't have it yet. Trying to figure out why. It's still 7.18.0.1

Maybe latest app no longer supports Nexus 7’s version of Android (which is what?). But seems like it should tell you this.

The 2013 version of the N7 does (Marshmallow 6.0.1). That's what I have. It's probably just a slow rollout.
