Okay, Amazon has a deal on Paperwhite Kindles for $90. I love Paperwhites and wold consider getting another but I've ordered a new Oasis and want to see it first.

And keep in mind, that $49 KT3 also has Bluetooth and is a current jailbreak exception even running the 5.8.10 firmware version.

I don't think I will actually buy a new PW just for jailbreaking but I'd like to know if it's a possibility : does anybody have a guess on which firmware would be installed on a PW if I bought one now from France?

I currently own a PW2 with firmware 5.8.10 and if I understand correctly jailbreaking this would require a physical intervention, which is more than what I'm willing to bother with.

Maybe someone in the Amazon logistics department.
There is no way for anyone to know from outside of the Amazon organization.

If you can't jail break it, you can always use the "30 days, no questions asked, return" policy.
