This looks like it has some interesting things to try. I've been following Alton Brown's recipe for the most part, though I use the local supermarket's mix of ground beef, pork and veal. And I glaze with a mix of A1 and Frank's Red Hot Thick to cut down on the sugar...

I love the America's Test Kitchen all beef meatloaf recipe. It has a few unconventional items and techniques, but it is well worth the effort.

I mix Quaker Oats with the beef and add a generous portion of onions and garlic, along with Tobasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and some mustard. The glaze includes ketchup, mustard and brown sugar. And a few other things that I can't remember at this exact moment.

It'll be interesting to try some new recipes.

Do you use dry mustard? I've been tempted to try that...

Edit> I also just remembered that I have a small jar of powdered horseradish in the back of the cupboard - might have to experiment with that too...

My mom's recipe for potato salad uses dry mustard. Or wet, whatever is on hand.

So, go ahead -- they're fairly interchangable.
