I bought the book. It is from Saga Press, and has two parts, one called Where on Earth, and the second called Outer space, Inner land, for a total of 39 chapters or tales

+1, Glide Path is non-fiction, but very science oriented. It's about Clarke's personal experience during WWII working in the project that was developing radar based instrument landing. I read it years ago and found it an very good read.

On Earth, Kickaha and the Lord Anana pursue a rogue Beller called Thabuuz. They thought they had wiped out the last of the biolab-generated artificial intelligences created by the Lords, but it seems one has escaped through a portal to Southern California. Thabuuz must be found before he can spawn more Bellers and revive their war against the Lords. But even though he came from Earth fifty years ago, Kickaha no longer recognizes his former home, now ruled by a hostile Lord known as the Red Orc.

Leaving an unwelcoming Earth, Kickaha is trapped on the strange planet he thinks of as Lavalite World, and the only way out is a single gate, located inside Urthona’s palace. But the stronghold moves as readily as the dangerous terrain, making survival an unlikely prospect.

Are these books SF/Fantasy? I'm not familiar with the author, and from the description they sound more like "supernatural" stories.

Charlaine Harris is best known for her Sookie Stackhouse / Southern Vampire Mysteries series, which was made into the HBO series True Blood. The Midnight Texas series is billed as mystery, romance and paranormal mashup, and is currently also a US TV series on NBC.

If by 'supernatural' you mean something like M R James, I'd say not. I'd call them Urban Fantasy as supernatural creatures actually exist in the series (albeit in an understated way) as well as paranormal abilities. In some ways they almost shade into paranormal romance as the mystery element tends to be on the cosy side.

They bring together secondary characters from all Harris' mystery series - the Aurora Teagarden and the Lily Bard mysteries, the Harper Connelly supernatural mysteries and they are set in what appears to be the same world as the Sookie Stackhouse books (which definitely qualify as Urban Fantasy).
