Just found the page with the Harlequin online freebies. You can copy, paste, and then use book designer to format and convert. They look great on my kindle! Over 20 full length books available. Enjoy, Debra

Hopefully not - I checked one and each chapter is on it's own horrible web page.... Lots of cut and pasting ahead if that's them. So much that I'll probably pass.

Whew, just finished. I will be checking this page weekly from now on, so I won't have to do so much at once. There are a lot of series I haven't seen before, so I am looking forward to reading these. Just cut and past in Word, save as text, import into BD and convert.

So, what type of word count did you get on them? Are they full novels, novellas or just short stories?

I just took a look at one of the web books and found 10 chapters plus the intro. That's not too bad for cutting/pasting. And from there, it's not all that difficult to make a version for your particular device.

Some are short, some are 20 chapters. They averaged about 10,000 words. Pretty mindless cut and paste - Book Designer ignored chapter numbers 13-19, but overall the cleanup and conversion was minimal. I ended up with 27 new books - not bad for a little cut and paste. 27x$3.83 (ave price) = $103!
