The book has 7000 locations. The baking book has a grand total of 503. The bonus stuff takes up the rest of the space. It is also all double spaced with 4 spaces between paragraphs. The reviewer was being kind with the 30 page estimate.

I used the "Look Inside" feature. Makes me want to write my own book with baking tips. Her first tip has to do with measuring flour, with no mention of using a scale.

She starts off by congratulating the reader for downloading her book. ?? She mentions food preservatives being linked to cancer, and a comment about governments allowing these preservatives to be used. Then a comment that baking can improve your personal happiness level.

Did you know it is important to not over bake your cookies? And that it's also important to use cupcake pans when making cupcakes?

I wouldn't know, she lost me after the whole "if you don't make your own bread, you run the risk of getting cancer" part. Jeez, I was already fazing out at reading about her lovely husband and community volunteering...

Although after reading so far, i AM curious in hearing the audiobook of this pamphlet. The voice actress apparently did a book about overcoming alcoholism as well

Just ran across this tidbit in the baking book:

"Freeze a cake before you frost it. You can freeze the cake from a few hours up to a month. It does not matter. Then, frost the cake before it thaws. This creates a firmer surface and makes it easier to thaw."

She also says that air bubbles keep cupcakes moist.

"Cake pops are easy to make and taste so good. Just make your batter into a ball and insert a lollipop stick."

She has no idea. Raise your hand if you can form batter into a ball.

That is not how you make cake pops.

Congratulating the reader is a good indication of a scamlet.

Cake pops are made using crumbled baked cake and frosting, mushed together. You shape them into balls, poke a stick in, then dip them in melted chocolate or white chocolate.

I've never had one that wasn't disgusting. They do look cute, but gah.

That sounds disgusting. Oh and if I tried to do that, the shapes would make a geometry teacher either smile or cringe.
You see how many cake pops I have been around.

I see my thought was better than the real thing. Pour the batter into molds, bake and then put sticks in them. Or use the molds you can put sticks in and bake that way.

I should put together a small appliances guide myself.
