Calibre as viewer only?

Is it possible to use Calibre only as a viewer, without creating a library, cataloguing, copying ebooks, etc? Thanks.

Yes and no.
You must install the full package (viewer depends on code library)
BUT
you can just use the viewer to 'open with' any valid Calibre format

So just to verify, if I open a file with the viewer, there will be no "library management" going on behind my back, correct?

Actually, I decided that Calibre is not the best option for my needs.
