I have a kobo touch LC, the n905C model. yesterday it just froze, tried the usual tricks suggested. today morning it did start and again froze, tried after some time and again it started, so i decided to do a factory reset, now its stuck on the factory reset screen.
could it be that the internal sd has become corrupt?

Can I get the image for this with instructions to flash plz

For instructions, see Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. It is for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools needed are the same.

And that does sound like a card that is failing. I'd try another. You can use something a bit bigger if you want. The instructions above include how to resize the books partition to use the extra space.

Thank you David, Much appreciated, downloading now. One question, while I was searching forums for this kind of issue, noticed something about transferring serial number to virgin image, do i have to do that, or should i flash the image you gave directly?

cool, thanks again for quick reply. as of now its totally unresponsive, i mean, now upon sliding the slider or putting on charge, no light appears. Also I did remove the old sd and checked in laptop, the books storage part atleast appears to be not corrupted.

UPDATE : writing your image, it gives write error at 17%, happened twice, on the original sd, so it does seem like a sd card fault, so i guess i can bring my kobo back from dead with another sd. only one i got is 2 gb so will have to wait i guess

Update 2 : flashed it on 2gb sd card. Only blue light lights up and it goes back to being dead! hardware issue?
used sdformatter on original sd card, flashed image, with same result, blue light and then dead

I litteraly destroyed the internal sd card of my 905c kobo touch. Does anyone have an image for me then i can recreate another one ?

Well, i guess the socket is damaged too, i only get blue and then green flashing led. Nothing on screen.

After extensive testing with 3 different sd card, I have discovered that my kobo starts up , works for 4-5 mins, till i try to complete setup, then completely dies, i mean screen freezes on whatever is currently there, no lights at all, after a few mins if i try to boot, blue light blinks and after few hrs it boots completely , but freezes again after 4-5 mins.

Anyone with experience of this type of issue?

Theres no service centers here, and kobo is no longer even sold here even on ebay.

Sadly I would have to buy a kindle now. I loved by kobo so much, and wished to stay with it
