edit : try "my library". that's where ms reader sticks its files on my computer (the bastiche).

Well, it's in there....but it's in something called "ebo" format. I would assume that stands for "ebook" - and according to MS it's the annotation file.

That means you didn't actually download the LIT file, you opened it.

Which one of you "sickies" is responsible for the nasty head cold I have? Its miserable and I hate it.

surely it couldn't be one of the sweet little rug rats I help out with at school..........you know, the ones who have been coughing and hacking for the last month, whose parents send them to school with fevers, and then get mad when the school nurse calls and asks them to come get them.

LOL.. yes,I opened it in MS Reader, but I KNOW I downloaded it - I just don't know where it is! I know I downloaded it because I converted it to .rtf at one time...and now I can't find either copy. It's ok, I repurchased the book - by using Rewards dollars at BoB I got it for $1.64.

Why do ebook reader sellers mix format types when they list the supported formats? It may be OK if you know what they all are but why can't they separate them according to function & state the function?

For example, in our WIKI matrix under Iliad the listed supported formats are;
PDF, HTML, TXT, JPG, BMP, PNG, PRC/MOBI, DJVU (via FBReader: fb2, CHM, Plucker, zTxt, TCR, RTF, OEB, EPUB)

They could have listed text formats supported; PDF, HTML, TXT, PRC/MOBI, DJVU (via FBReader: fb2, CHM, Plucker, zTxt, TCR, RTF, OEB, EPUB), Image formats supported; JPG, BMP, PNG.

And it gets worse if/when there are compressed formats l(e.g. ZIP, & RAR), and audio formats (e.g. MP3, WAV).

Many times they don't even group similar function types together but intermingle them throughout the list.

Rant over.
