And HarryT before you ask, I know one was for copyright, she had just grabbed images off the net for her children's book including some Disney and Dr. Suess.
The other had titled her book with "Choose your own adventure". Scholastic books has that phrase trademarked.

In this case, however, given the fact that the book is available in countries such as the UK, it undoubtedly means geo-restrictions.

I'm there with you on this point ; I actually contacted the support and they said something like "it was taken down because of ERRONEOUS CONTENT"; now what it might mean is well above my wit.

I doubt it is the case; Actually, even though they are the same title (almost), they're not exactly same in their content (the one that you pointed has 32 pages less than the original.)

Also, for the record, if there were any region-based restrictions involved, someone would've confirmed its availability ; I've not heard of any such person yet :\

I would guess one of three things not knowing the book in question.
It was written/formatted so badly as to not be readable.
The "author" decided to just "borrow" everything in the book from other places.
Or they used many trademarks improperly.
I know they took down the "69 fun things to do with JELL-O."
Some companies get and rightfully so, picky about their trademarks.
Now I do own "Joys of Jell-O. " It was put out in 1963 by Jell-O.

I have small cookbooks from pretty much every food manufacturer.
Side note: One Kraft book has some Breyer's ice cream in it.
Yes, Kraft had to get their permission to use their ice cream in the book.

It is available for purchase on the Australian Amazon site. And with one-click. I also understand Harry as saying it is available for purchase in the UK.

That is, the "international" edition.

The one I have a paper copy of, though, is the "originial", non-international edition; this is a really _heavy_ tome (1200 pages or so) and I found it more fit to read it as an ebook; and all my raging on havin the ebook for this very version (rather than the available, international edition I get referr'd to) is because they are not the same in their content arrangement (especially, page numbering), which would make it hard (very hard, if not impossible) for me to move along with my instructors as they refer us to, e.g, "assignments given on page 12", or "the theorem on page 120", etc.

Often that's literally all they know. A publisher doesn't generally tell the reseller why they're withdrawing a title from sale.
