We still eat there at least once a week because they have really good coupons and a whole menu of meals for $4. Doesn't include drink.

We didn't have Sonic till my teens. I now have one in walking distance. They are decent. I think they have stayed the same.

Hardee's has changed completely. We use to eat there all the time. I was there the day Carl Jrs took over and sadly with time ruined it.

Hardee's is a early childhood memory that I'd like to forget. When I was around 4 or 5 my paternal grandma took me and mom out to eat at Hardee's. She ordered a hamburger for me and when I bit into it the thing was half raw. Grandma sent it back to be cooked more. I don't think I've ever had a Hardee's hamburger since then.

See Hardee's use to be a chicken place just like KFC. They had roast beef like Arby's and other food. I forget when they introduce burgers but people ate there for the chicken. I think they still have the ham and cheese sandwich.

Hardee's was bought out by Carl Jrs I'm sure you've heard of them.

Steak 'N Shake is a Midwest chain. Their hamburgers are made from chopped up steak. Thin, crispy and made to order. They have other food too like their Chili which is the best. I love their salads. The shakes are made the old fashion way. No soft serve machines.

The first thing I did moving back to Missouri was go to Steak 'N Shake and Jack In The Box.

I think we have a Steak n Shake here in a truck stop.
We have never had a Hardee's, Carl's or Red Robin here.
Oh and our Dairy Queen has a different menu from all other states.

I actually like both. It just depends on my mood.

I have to say that I'm really fond of the new Coke Zero Sugar (which replaced Coke Zero a few weeks ago). IMO it's the best diet Cola on the market to date.

I actually visited a Hardees for the first time during my visit to Indiana a couple months ago.

From what my father told me, Carls Jr tried to just turn them all into their own restaurants, but it didn't go over well in the first few location changes, so they ultimately decided to stick with the Hardees name.

One thing that amused me was the fact that the Hardee's tex-mex extension is called "Red Burrito", as opposed to the "Green Burrito" you find at some Carl's Jrs.

A very old joke from the 80s:

What's the favorite soft drink among computer programmers?

Hires Root Beer!

Spoiler:
