COPS : Calibre OPDS PHP Server

I am a very satisfied user of cops on a synology 916. I recently bought a kindle paperwhite and I read here that a nice way to combine it with cops is by forwarding mails from my smartphone (+ cops) to the kindle. I use gmail so I outcommented that part of my cops config. I got the envelope but when i press it I get the message. Called Mail() without being connected Message was not send:

Can anybody please help me? What could cause this error?

Change:
"address.from" => "cops"
to
"address.from" => "Gmail adress"

And try again (worked for me once).

I tried a few things (like this advice, thank you for that) and nothing really worked. than i decided to install the synology mail server instead of google smtp. I didnot proceed with that but only did the first step(s). And after that google smtp suddenly worked as if starting the installation of the syn mail server opened a gate on my synology or modem? I dont really understand but I am happy that is works now.

Is there a way to create a sitemap in cops? or a way to make all books get index on google?

I'm not aware of any option in COPS that does that.

Does this support recipes? I am mainly after a server automatically runnign recipes and sending them to my kindle.

Hi,
I would like to manage my audio books with cops.
I was able to create a library with calibre and associate it with cops, but when I want to download a file, I have an error message... "Unable to find the page"
It's too bad... Anyone knows how to solve this, please ?

PS: I had the exact same problem with CBR files, but I did something in COPS params and now I can DL them... Can't remember what it was, though

Hi,
I've been using COPS successfully for 3 years already with my DS212. But this weekend the Synology disk was restored from backup.
Now, everything seems working BUT it's impossible to download an ebook file. For all the ebooks I get a 404 error page.

The "COPS Configuration Check" is fine:

COPS CONFIGURATION CHECK
Check if PHP version is correct
OK (5.6.31)
Check if GD is properly installed and loaded
OK
Check if Sqlite is properly installed and loaded
OK
Check if libxml is properly installed and loaded
OK
Check if Json is properly installed and loaded
OK
Check if mbstring is properly installed and loaded

Check if intl is properly installed and loaded
OK
Check if Normalizer class is properly installed and loaded
OK
Check if the rendering will be done on client side or server side
Client side rendering
Check if Calibre database path is not an URL
OK
Check if Calibre database file exists and is readable
OK
Check if Calibre database file can be opened with PHP
OK
Check if Calibre database file contains at least some of the needed tables
OK
Check if all Calibre books are found

I can see the COPS interface with no problem, find the book I want and click the epub icon to download. And there, the 404 error page appears.

I've already checked the $config['calibre_directory'] and the shared folder permissions and everything seems fine.

Does anyone have an idea why I'm having this problem, please?

EDIT : Problem solved!
I've changed from Nginx to Apache inside Web Station and now everything works!

I'm running COPS in an apache server. I added some users using an htpasswd file and works fine.
My question is, there is any link or page to logout?

The answer to your question is:
1 - No, not in COPS
2 - No, not in Apache (as far as I know)

Why would you want to logout?

Simply wanted to test the passwords for different users. Anyway, I used incognito mode in the browser.

I have done my best to skim through this forum post, and have read through the wiki and FAQ's and haven't found an answer.

I'm looking for a way to add a link on the front page to load up the tag page for a specific tag. In my case, some of my calibre entries have audiobooks, and I would like a quick way to access all the audiobooks.

I think this can be accomplished with creating a facet which the COPS page lists as a feature, but I'm stumped on how to implement this. What am I missing?

To be able to quickly access all your audiobooks I would put all the audiobooks in a separate (calibre) library and use the multi library functionality of cops to access them.

I personally have not tried audiobooks in calibre/cops but it might work?
