Not really. Since then, I have discovered that the download will work if the site sets the Content-Disposition header to the file name and doesn't put the file name in the URL. If you are downloading from a server you control, maybe you can change this. But, if you are downloading from somewhere on the web, you won't be able to.

Hello! I'm not sure if it is the correct thread to report the problems, if not please re-direct me.
I've got 2 new Kobo Aura One readers, both have been updated with 4.5.9587 and both have the same problems (described below).
I have 2 types of kepub books in KA1 - "downloaded" (from Kobo store) and "imported" (through Calibre).
If I've been last reading one of "downloaded" books than it will appear on the primary position on Home screen and it's cover will be shown in Sleep mode.
If I've been last reading one of "imported" books than:
- it doesn't appear on the Home screen at all;
- the latest read "downloaded" book is still on the primary position on the Home screen;
- the cover of the latest read "downloaded" book is shown in Sleep mode.
It doesn't matter how many of "imported" books I've been reading - none of these book will appear on the Home screen. These read "imported" books are not present in "My books/All" recent list either.

The situation changes only if I delete all "downloaded" books from KA1. In this case the cover of the "imported" book read at the moment will be shown in Sleep mode but on the Home screen the primary position is empty ("No book is being read").

All other parts of the Home screen always remain unchanged (Even in case of reading of several "downloaded" books - just the latest read book is on the primary position, all other earlier read books are not shown on the Home screen).

On the earlier FW 4.3.9084 everything related to the topic above worked perfectly.

I only have this firmware on my Mini (for which it was not released) so I am curious whether the others who have put in on their Mini have noticed the same thing--that the device seems to respond a bit slower on this firmware.

Something strange is going on on your device. Here, the imported and downloaded books are treated exactly the same on the home screen and sorting in the book list. One reason for these sort of problems is the date on the device or another device you are reading on. I have managed to set a device to a date in the future and then started reading a downloaded book. Even after I fixed the date on the device, the book appeared as the first book as the date coming from the Kobo server was in the future.

I completely agree with you. And the problem is that I have 2 KA1 with exactly the same strange behavior.

Do you think it may be possible to downgrade to FW 4.3.9084 (I didn't find the download links to this FW for KA1 anywhere)?

The problem is that it's an error in the browser. The page, link and headers from COPS are probably valid. Changing COPS to produces something different to avoid this bug is probably not sensible. But, you won't know unless you ask.

Which device? I am getting about 35 hours of reading time per charge on my 4.5-year-old Glo. This hasn't changed significantly with any firmware version, it has just gradually decreased over time as the battery wears out.

In addition to the difficulties that s1s2... was having after upgrading to 4.5.9.587 with side loaded books with Calibre not showing up on the home page, I also had an issue that after side loading and ejecting. After ejecting my Aura it would reload all the books (only the side-loaded ones I believe) and all the books I was reading would be reset to unread. I tried logging out/in, and doing a factory re-set but neither solved it. It was only solved by downgrading to 4.4.934. Sure sounds like more potential bugs in 4.5.9.587. For now I've patched to prevent upgrading via wifi and will stay with 4.4.934.
