That's what I figured and why I included the first paragraph in my reply. I do wonder if he looks at any though.

In 2008 I sent an email to Steve Jobs complaining about an app store developer who seemingly abandoned a buggy app, asking if I was out of luck with my purchase. I received a reply from sjobs (at apple) with the short message "Yep, I'm afraid you are. We'll try to look into it." The app was fixed a few months later. |

A $300 Amazon credit is an amazing outcome for all the trouble you've gone through, and I'll admit much better than I ever thought even Amazon would do.
So if your heart is set on the LG G6, why not just buy the higher priced one that is the correct version for $649. With the $300 credit, you're really only paying $349, which is $100 less than you were originally paying. Which is probably what Amazon had in mind that you would do and how they arrived at the $300 amount (just a guess on my part, but a $300 credit seems excessive even in spite of everything you went through). Or if you want to take full advantage of the $300 as a pure gift, take a look at the LG G5, which I just picked up myself for $250 and is a superb phone (plus it has a replaceable battery, which is important to me), and it updated to Nougat right away. I got mine from B and H Photo though in New York when they had a sale (plus no tax when shipped out of state from B&H). They're a very reputable store with great customer service, I've been buying from them for over 15 years. Whichever you choose to do, very nice outcome in any event. Good for you for sticking with it. |

I just ordered an LG G6 from Best Buy for $449! I was just wondering what price they had it for, and it was on sale so I got it.

Well, I just had my own fun and games with Amazon sending me an incorrect phone. I had preordered a Moto E4 Plus, a brand-new release that just came out today. Amazon showed the 32gb version for $180; it's supposed to be a 4G phone, fully compatible with AT&T, which is my network.
Since it needs a nano SIM card, different from the card my old phone uses, I contacted AT&T. When I told AT&T the IMEI number, they said the phone was a 2G phone not compatible with the AT&T network. Meanwhile, when I looked at the box to read off that number, I noticed that the label indicated the phone was 16gb, not 32gb--and when I checked the phone itself, sure enough--16gb. So--absolutely not compatible, and wrong phone to boot. Amazon rep was kind of incredulous and took down all the info and initiated the return, but I don't get any perks. Bah. After finally deciding on this phone, I am so bummed. I was afraid to ask for a replacement, because I might get another incompatible phone, so I'm getting a refund. And so I'm still stuck with my stupid, lousy old phone. Poor me. |

AT&T is wrong. If you got the 16GB it's the same phone just wrong size in the storage department. It's 4G as well the 16GB version. It will work on their Network as long as it's GSM.
Perhaps they were talking ram? It has 2GB of ram. There is no 2G network that I know of. Sent from my Nexus 7 Last edited by Blossom; 08-11-2017 at 06:19 PM. |

P.S. I just saw a review at Amazon where someone's complaining about not being able to set up the phone on Verizon or Sprint. Last edited by Catlady; 08-11-2017 at 06:54 PM. |
