Agreed -- "Flowers for Algernon" was huge. Shame I don't see a sale on the US version, cuz I'm not sure I've read it. But I'm well aware of the title.

I opened an ancient book of dark spells. I summoned Frrrrrg'ysplocth the Fairly Nasty from the nether realms. I began the ritual of binding. Then I noticed that Amazon.com had Robert Silverberg's Lord Valentine's Castle: Book One of the Majipoor Cycle for $2.99. The second book may be discounted also at $5.99.

They've also got Greg Bear's The Infinity Concerto (Songs of Earth and Power Book 1) for $1.99. The second book looks to be fairly close to the digital list at $5.38.

In all the excitement, Frrrrrg'ysplocth got away. Fairly Nasty. I'm sure he won't destroy the entire world.

CORRECTION:

It appears as if I was wrong on this since, as you point out, they appear to be periodic episodes collected into a 'Volume 1', rather than as 5 separate novels.



RANT:

I get rather PO'd with authors who masquerade their slim little volumes as 'novels. To reiterate, however, the above does not appear to be the case.
