To me it seemed unnecessarily complicated and unless you bought the premium apk then you have a ton of other little apk to install to get any of the other plugins.

I haven't noticed any CSS rendering issues with FBreader, I assume I still might ... :-/
The google translate integration comes with premium IIRC.

For me the main issue is to have something that syncs with iOS (some reading app on Apple devices, or web).

So main alternative is Google Play Books.

The Kindle app won't open anything on my Onyx devices, the app just dies. (Amazon has read position sync with user content, if you send it to your @free.kindle.com address.)

Anyways, FBreader seems to be the best working app on my Onyx in many ways.

And when I just found that pressing and holding the "next" button forces a refresh and pressing and holding the "previous" button pops up a nice menu, it made reading experience smoother.

I might switch to Alreader (as it seems leaner and quicker) if I can get a "night mode" profile installed/created, but FBreader's network library&sync and the integrated google translate of phrases is still tempting features ...
I love the library&sync feature on FB Reader--it's the reason I use that app. I can read the same book on my phone, tablet and even my Nook Simple Touch and they all stay in sync with each other. It looks like Alreader can do it, but I haven't figured out how it works yet.

I like it. It will scan you SD cards (internal and external) for books and you just have to click the import button and they will be on your shelf.

I used to use Aldiko but it is only epub and pdf reader.

Both readers are excellent but I uninstalled Aldiko as I don't need 2 ereaders on my phone or tab.
I have too switched to Prestigio. The settings are amazing. It's more customizable than Moon+ and unlike Moon+ it handles library books. I think the PDF reader is limited but for epubs it's really nice. I can't see a reason to keep Bookari now.

I currently have:
Prestigio
Bookari
Moon+
Pocketbook Reader
Google Play Books

I'll keep Moon+ for PDFs but I see me uninstalling Bookari and PBR. I never liked Aldiko for some reason.

Does Prestigio have a setting to use the epub's internal CSS?

Yes. It does. It's in the menu where you change font sizes. There's a little check box there then go to advance and fonts there is a settings called CSS you pick and choose which settings to keep or override.

I'm loving this app. The manual needs to be rewritten but so did other apps I've tried.

It does custom fonts too. I'm using Bookerly from my Kindle Fire.

Is there a way to make touching the left side of the screen go forward instead of backward. I couldn't find anything in settings.

None that I see there's an option in settings to send feedback. You might ask them to add it.

I suppose that would come in handy for lefties. Although I hold my reader with my right. I write left handed.

Thanks, I did send them feedback - we'll see. I do like it a lot - I may replace Bookari with it.

What do you use for pdf's? I've been using Bookari for that.

For book pdfs I use Moon+
For manuals and stuff with diagrams I use Office Pro by Mobisystems

I got rid of Bookari yesterday. The uneven covers view is a dyslexic nightmare. I was using Google Play Books most of the time and Pocketbook eReader. I got rid of Bookari and Pocketbook eReader. I like Prestigio that much.

So I downloaded Prestigio and I do like it, except I can't find a way to NOT indent the first paragraph of each chapter. It seems to respect the CSS other than that one quirk. Also, it has a couple of misspellings in the menus: slyle for style and hypernation for hypenation, for example, so I think I will stick with Bookari for the time being, but I'll keep an eye on Prestigio.

I'll send a message to them about style. I have a feeling English is not their first language. I'll also mentioned the indent not working. I never bother with indentation so I didn't know.

That's because the program is not respecting the CSS properly. Yet another eBook reading app that doesn't properly respect the CSS.
