Well, i have the edition 2 of the H2O with the latest firmware for a few days now, so i don't know how it behaves with older firmwares. When i push the button it goes to sleep with the light off, so that's ok.

I also have sleepcover (not the official kobo one, but it should work as stated by the manufacturer) and the device should go to sleep when closing the cover. But in this case it doesn't. The device (and light) stay on up until standby kicks in after about 10 minutes... Also, when opening the case the device won't turn on by itself. Is this also firmware issue, or should i go back to the shop? Or do i really need an original kobo sleep cover? Thanks in advance for any and all info :-) Last edited by Raynor; 08-02-2017 at 03:48 PM. |

Yes this setting is turned on. The case has a magnet so, i have tried to take out the Kobo and put the magnet of the case along different sides. This has no effect. This is the thing: https://www.hoesjesboetiek.nl/Kobo_a...dition_2_bruin |

Maybe the magnet is not strong enough. Have you tried a stronger magnet?

I have tried with another magnet, and the kobo reacts when i hold the magnet to the back, but not when holding it to the front, where the cover magnets are when the cover is closed. Strange...

Well i tested the device at the shop with the original cover and it works fine with it! So i have already returned the clone cover and ordered an original kobo one...

Thank you all for the tips and help! |
