Why us? Why his work? He's only a temp but he likes this job even if it only pays $350 a week. It was something he could do without hurting himself. I just hope this doesn't jeopardize anything.

I am glad he is ok.
As to his job, it may depend on the extent of the damage how long the factory will be closed.

And if they need temps or reassign full time workers to the temp jobs. It's all up in the air. A machine exploded and the fire went into the ventilation system. It reach the roof.

Thanks, guys. I am fortunate that my insurance covers cataract surgery. I am already $250 out because of co-pays but I am definitely fortunate.

I'm not sure if it's my tablet or the router but this afternoon I have problems connecting to the wifi with it, my phone works fine, my laptop doesn't have any problems, but my tablet has problems. It is either trying to connect, not getting an IP address and on the rare occasion it does connect it doesn't have an internet connection.

I've rebooted the tablet, added the mac address to the white list and rebooted the router. The last thing does help, but only for a little while. Before I didn't have any problem connecting to the wifi. If it keeps having problems I'll take my tablet with me home tomorrow, if it connects without problem at home there's a different problem.

Sounds like either a driver issue or a hardware issue on the tablet side.

After some googling I found out that my tablet prefers the 2.4GHz on N and it was set to G/N mixed. I changed it to just N and now it works fine, it connect quicker than before. I'll change it back before I go home. I might try this trick at home, because my tablet regularly loses connection to my access point for a short time.

I think my iPad Mini (1?) might prefer the N also, and since my older macbook air is G, my wifi is set to G/N mixed. A technician told me to reset the wifi frequently. He said I can log into the wifi (you perhaps cannot, since it isn't yours), go to the Wifi subpage, and click "apply" without making any changes. This resets it without requiring pulling the plug and waiting. So I've been doing that randomly, as seems necessary.

Hubby called the temp place. They told him no work today. The factory is waiting on insurance adjusters. They gave him a number to call tomorrow to check if he is working or not.

Found out it was a plastic molding machine that blew up.

So now we wait. The temp service didn't seem concerned about the down time. As far as they are concerned he works for the factory but is contracted through them. So now we wait.

Insurance adjusters could be anywhere from a day to a week or more.
My concern is "is that machine vital to what he was doing?"
