I just finished "The Crystal Skull: Destiny's Courier" by TK Lebeau.
I am now working on "The Crystal Tunnel" then will read "The Crystal
Spiral". Metaphysical fiction using modern characters.

I read the Hank Thompson trilogy by Charlie Huston. Lots of action.
I was disappointed at the end of the third novel, though. Still, I
enjoyed reading all three books.

I am currently meandering my way through Angels and Demons, but looking foward to finishing it so I can start book 4 of the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs.

I just finished Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Mackay, an old non-fiction book, but one that is relevant today. I found the sections on Tulipmania, the Mississippi scheme, the South Seas Bubble and the Crusades fascinating. The Witch Hunting part is OK. The rest was maybe not worth reading.

Too bad Congress can't act like Parliament did at the end of the South Seas fiasco.

I've started on the 1632, 1633, 1634, etc. SF books by Flint. I may read all of them. I'm impressed so far, a nice alternative history twist that obviously has a lot of research behind it.

I just finished some wonderful trash: "The Godman and The Stars, My Brothers," - two novellas by Edmund Hamilton. Great fun and purchased from Fictionwise.

Now, I'm reading a Sony freebie (from a few months back), about the Phantom! (oohhhh!!! I'm scared!!). This, too, is a wonderful piece of trash and titled, "The Emperor of Death."

Wonderful fun, as I take a break from my serious reading.

Yes, I sure will. I'm just a little over 10% on it, having started it this morning. I love these kind of stories, though. (I think I put together a few Phantom novels for MobileRead - I'm too lazy to check right now.)

Just finished Adiamante by L. E. Modesitt
One of the better books recently: 8/10.

It is science fiction. It is about a society that survived milleniums. Highly recommended.

Good choice.

I'm currently re-reading A Free Man of Color by Barbara Hambly. I wanted to be re-reading Carole Nelson Douglas' "Irene Adler" books, but they're in the basement somewhere and I can't seem to find ebooks of any but the last in the series. (But that's still better than the last time I looked.)

Actually, Amazon has the third-to-last for Kindle, and Fictionwise has the second-to-last. At least some of the Midnight Louie books are becoming available in electronic versions.

Edit: and apparently Sony has the last Irene Adler book. Crazy!

Highly Recommend

You MUST read "The Idiot Girl and the Flaming Tantrum of Death." It is the funniest thing I've read in ages! I laughed so much that my tummy is sore!

It was either free or $1 at Sony.

I have just started 'Star Maker' by Olaf Stapledon.
Crutledge for uploading it.

Also, proof reading 'Hester: a story of contemporary life' by Margaret Oliphant with a view to uploading it here afterwards.
