A line of severe thunderstorms rolled through - over an hour of non-stop lightning, wind gusts, hail, and torrential rains - a downburst blew the potted mums off the back steps.

The skies have been dark and we've had a constant barrage of thunder for about three or four hours now. I moved my bedroom plant onto the back porch so it could be watered, but so far no rain, just thunder and threatening skies. Strange.

It's been wonderful cool today. Only 95F I've been enjoying the cool weather. Only supposed to be 92F tommorow.

It poured last night and it's supposed to pour tonight, but this afternoon was pretty nice. The sky was overcast but bright, temperatures were in the 70s, it was humid but we had an occasional breeze. It was nice to sit on the deck and not sweat through my shirt.

Our temps were 105F-113F in past five days. It was too hot to move, to breath or sleep. It was miserable. A/C can't keep up with weather like that. It's over now we are having only 90s for the week. Which is like spring to me now. I actual needed a blanket today.

Yesterday was better than predicted. it should have rained almost all day, but there were only a couple of showers in the morning and early afternoon.

Today it should also rain for most of the day, until 8pm or so. But according to the rain radar it should be dry for the next couple of hours and after that it looks like it'll be dry, too. At least I'll get to work dry and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll be dry between 2pm and 3pm when I go back home.

It was 94F now it's 75F and feels wonderful. The heatwave is over and now I can breathe and relax. 90s and 80s all week. Never thought that would make me happy but I never want to deal with temps like 100-113 again. I think I'll move to Maine.

It is 81 and sunny here right now. As always a slight chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon. Those just pop up. They changed our forecast. Now just high 90's all week instead of hundreds.
