You need an option for maybe. I use my Hanlin extensively. If E-ink tech continues in its (even modest) success I'll think about it. I get a lot of my books from Baen and their lib or guttenburg (there are so many classics that deserve to be read). I think it would be cool if Kindle came pre-bundled with an assortment of free literature that everyone should at least consider reading...The Republic, The Prince, The Three Musketeers, maybe some other public domain work.

I didn't order the Kindle 1, though I wanted to because I am an avid reader. When K2 came out, i HAD to order it. Then i heard about the battery issue and cancelled. Then I re-ordered it anyway because I am so jazzed about getting it. Then I read you can turn it back to the company for a replacement batteryt for $59.00. So, at least if the battery dies I don't have to get a brand new Kindle. I can hardly wait until my kindle 2 gets here.

Keep in mind though... if Amazon wants to sell more kindles, who do they listen to... the people that bought it that just want more features... or the people that didn't buy one. If you want more customers you listen to the potential customers.

The loudest complaint from non-Kindle customers was how "ugly" it was. Not that it didn't have folders or whatever.

I pre-ordered one. I already have the original one and my hubby has taken a liking to it as well. My plan was to get another so we wouldn't have to share. So I decided to try the Kindle 2 and see how we like it. If not, then I'll return it and buy another Kindle 1.

I still can't believe they left out the SD card.

I really want a K2, but I don't have enough money to get one. I only have enough to get a used K1 maybe. It is just so expensive! I really wish I had the money though.

I have a K1 and ordered a K2 on the 9th. I sent an email to CS asking about this and they said they don't know why my shipping date is 3/2 and will do more research.

According to the rumors floating around they are close to releasing an international Kindle. I haven't seen anything about the wireless side of it but I would think they could at least use bluetooth so books could be downloaded to your computer and then transferred wirelessly. So I hope you can have one soon!

Possible but a WiFi device would make more sense. They could contract with some hot spot provider in the UK... not sure if they exist though. (Sort of like how apple partnered with Starbucks).

Wifi and Bluetooth, that would be nice. Might as well have cell, wifimax and bluetooth on the K3 also.......as well as an SD slot on the top next to the headphone jack. I never liked the SD slot being behind the cover, take it out of the jacket, take off the back, power down, swap the card, reverse everything. Wow. I just put mine in with MP3's (a real player for the background music would be nice so you could select what you want to hear) and then managed it via USB after that.

If they do all of that they could then just have a world version.
