Hi

Yesterday tried to update my pocket articels. Glo simply dropped. So - opened it, found card (2GB) inside.

So far - need an image for the SD card

Hi I am a newbie here. My child formatted the SD card on their PC Mine is the Kobo mini.
Can i have an image (and if possible instruction links)

For instructions, see Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. It is for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools needed are the same for all the devices.

A 2GB card is what the Mini is expected to have. The image I sent should be for a 2GB card. You can restored this to a larger card if you want. Then you can expand the books partition to fill use all the space.

the image file is just under 4 gig (3.69gig) after extraction.
I have done some partition shifting using go parted live on heard disks.

I've just downloaded it myself and you are right. The image was given to me. They must have upgraded a device and then took the image.

No I am unable to change an image file. Just tried to say I am not completly a green one.
If I have no other option i will have to lay my hands on a 4 gig SD but would like to avoid it.

I'll check tonight in case I have another image. I think I have a 4GB card lying around, so I might be able to restore and resize it and create another image. But, I'll have no way to test if it actually works.

@mashkiach: I've done some experimenting. Even though the image says it is 4GB, the partitions are only 2GB in size. I was able to restore this to a 2GB card without any problems. I can't test it in a device, but the checking I have on suggests it is OK. I did this on my Windows laptop using "Win32 Disk Imager".
