The first one was pretty good the second one had me hooked. You really need to read both together. The first three are one big story. The only book I don't really like in the series was Archangel's Enigma. All the others were really good.

It lacked the amazing characterization Nalini is known for. We never in depth get to know Andi like the other heroines. Naasar is annoying through 75% of the book no real chemistry between the two. I didn't find the romance believable. The only thing that saved it was the series plot arc. I was expecting it to be amazing like Jason's and Mahiya story and it just wasn't. Compared to the other books and Novellas it was just okay.

It's been $1.99 for a while (since July 1st at Amazon), so maybe already gone off sale elsewhere or the publisher "forgot" to put it on sale anywhere but B&N and Amazon which they sometimes do.

Down in New Orleans by Heather Graham is the Barnes & Noble free Friday selection and it looks like Amazon has matched the price. Kobo and Google haven't, though.
